I am a teacher, writer, lecturer, Jungian psychoanalyst, and retired East Asian medical practitioner. My studies in East Asian medicine, Depth Psychology and Jungian analytic psychology were untaken in search for a language to speak about insight I gained as the result of a life changing, numinous experience.

In August of 1990 I was struck by lightning, quite literally from ‘out of the blue.’ This event recalled and amplified my early spiritual knowledge and fundamentally changed my perception and life.  It gave rise to direct perception of energy, something I knew as a young child.  I again ‘saw’ the fabric that connects all things in life, and experienced being at One with all that is. In the numinous months that followed, I perceived the perfection of all things. Shortly after this explosive event, I felt an inner mandate to give up formal dance in order to share what I had learned and so began to create my work. It has seen a number of iterations over the years.

Through various processes; movement, meditation, conversation in circle, and specific body-centered practices that I developed, I was able to give people an experience of what I knew, but lacked a language to describe it. I was unable to formulate an overall structure in a meaningful way. Thus began my search for a language to speak about the profound workings of life.

Studies in Chinese medicine gave me a map of the human body as it relates to nature and the Cosmos. I graduated from the Seattle Institute of Oriental Medicine (now called the Seattle Institute of East Asian Medicine) with an MA in 2001. At Pacifica Graduate Institute, Depth Psychology provided grounding into the nature of the collective unconscious and its relationship to consciousness, along with introductions to social and eco-psychologies. I received an MA in 2007. Not yet having the language I sought and wanting to go deeper, I applied to and was accepted into the Jungian analytic training program at the International Association of Analytic Psychology Zurich (ISAPZurich), graduating in 2013. I am an accredited Jungian pscyoanalyst and a member of IAAP, AGAP, and the Seattle Institute of Jungian Psychology (CGJIS), where I serve as the Chair of the Ethics Committee. I hold licensure in Washington State as an LMHP. I retired from Chinese medical practice in 2025.

In late 2012, towards the end of my analytic training I was given a powerful dream that provided the language I sought. I was led directly to ML von Franz’s book, Number and Time, Reflections Leading Towards and Unification of Depth Psychology and Physics, in which she explores the most profound archetypes available to consciousness, that of Number. In the nearly 15 years since that dream, I have developed three progressive levels of theoretical and experiential teachings that take place online (and sometimes in person) in a safe, caring circle of people. The first program is a result of three successive dreams in December of 2023. Those dreams were a mandate to develop a new program, which began in January 2024. That original group continues to this day! The second and third levels represent a further differentiation of insight into ways to present this numinous material and help people perceive the archetypal nature of lived reality. I welcome diversity and time the courses to include people from as many cultures and time zones as possible.
